Procurement goes beyond just buying so is logistics more than just moving goods. We engaged the suppliers, shippers and various inland truck delivery options to choose not just the lowest landed cost but the optimal landed cost to the customer considering a highly dynamic external environment which affected supply times. This perhaps is one of the most challenging project but we were up to it cutting cost in raw material procurement through working together with manufacturer to get insights into raw material market and the drivers, optimal loading conditions by selecting the most cost effective models based on the packing gross weight and CBM and how much space is utilized, we explored our partners superior cost advantage by reducing drastically the C2C Cycle(Cash to Cash Cycle) and working on streamlining the payment methods . It wasn’t a one-off win but involved lot of compromises, skilled negotiation and of course -TEAM work.
